The witness

Reporting Laptop Attack

I Aly am a living witness of what happened to my dear friend Kenna. I can testify that indeed her laptop viciously attacked her toes, and showed no mercy whatsoever. Who knew the laptop was to be the accused? No one ever thinks these things could be the cause of such an injury, but then again they are the silent killers. No one ever tells you this when you're buying a laptop. You don't have employees tell you "this one is more convenient in case you drop it on your toes" or "it weighs less in case your foot breaks its fall" maybe they should. In reality I guess the moral of the blog is that the things you least expect could hurt you. Beware of laptops, just saying. We're pretty accident prone, maybe one day we'll end up in a place like this:

Well best of luck to all of you in this crazy laptop attacking filled world. Stay safe.

Surviving Laptops

So..... It's 4:40 in the morning. I am currently laying on the couch in severe, throbbing pain.
Special thanks to my laptop.
Wait what? My laptop? Why yes, my laptop.
My story begins around midnight, when Aly and I decided to watch How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, a classic for sure. Things were going just fine and dandy whilst watching our precious movie which I found at a steal of $5 (please refer to the poor college student reference in my previous post "ways to waste money") but we hadn't a care in the world!
Then hulla-buh-loo begin once the movie ended. Being it almost 2 in the morning, Aly and I decided it was time for bed. I began to pack my things into my back pack (I.e. My laptop) to head back to my apartment, but did not secure it into said backpack. Upon reaching down to grab my boots that I had taken off earlier that night, my laptop bounded from my backpack and SMACK fell on the floor. No worries now, no worries... I know the biggest "gasp" will be due to the fact that I 100% need a laptop to pass college and breaking it would be a complete disaster for sure, but, never fear, my laptops leap of faith was broken by my foot. Namely my pinky and forth toe.
(Side note):Now, I have owned and been involved with horses for over 10 years now and I have been stepped on by every size, shape, color and breed of the Equine family, and never in my life have I cried from being stepped on by half ton animals...but, of course, leave it to my 2 pound, half broken laptop to send me into a swirling uproar of profanities and tears.
Naturally, after several minutes of me bellowing out cries like a heifer in labor (do I sound like a hick yet?) Kareena went to get Rylee to save me from my pain. A mutual consensus was made-- by everyone but me-- to go to the ER because they were convinced my foot was broken & I was going to die, yada yada blah blah blah.
Long story short: I am now laying on the couch... Almost 5 in the morning... With two broken toes.

Awe (:

Here's To Us

Some people have a really hard time in college, especially when it comes to making friends. To be honest I think I don't just speak for myself when I say we got lucky. Who knew someone could make such good friends in such a short period of time? We are all SO diverse and lead completely different lives before we came here, yet we are so united. From all corners of the world including Italy, Mexico, Oregon, Cypan, Texas, Utah and California we wound up together. Not many people can say they love their neighbors like sister, or that they met a girl on their first day and have been inseparable ever since. To be honest i think we were blessed, because there's a small chance this was luck. I'm sure people go their whole lives not knowing what a friendship like this feel like; and I'm glad we never have to find out what it's like to be without it because we have each other. We're each other's home away from home, and I'm sure it'll stay that way for a long time. Okay enough cheesiness, moral of the story is we're awesome friends and we'll continue to get closer either from piling three girls onto one bunk, sleeping over almost every night, or taking turns on the floor of the car because we ALL want to go to Idaho Falls.

Here's to us, and our awesome friendship (:

I Trusted You!

Rylee We Trusted You!

This weekend we decided it would be fun to take a little road trip, have a picnic, go on a hike... you know the usual get away plan. It all started out great, we each made food to bring, arranged for rides and packed up the car. Everything was perfect and we were so excited to finally be getting out of little Rexburg. For the first 20 minutes or so me and Kenna even sang at the top of our lungs in the car ranging from Rascal Flatts to One Direction. After about an hour we were wondering.. Where the heck is Rylee taking us? After asking her multiple times and checking directions we discovered we either missed a turn somewhere, or we were completely lost. Rylee reassured us it was the right way, but she was wrong! :( we all started to get a bit impatient so we decided to just pick a random place and eat so we headed up to Black Foot and ate at a park. It was all great once we got some food in our systems (as you know lack of food results in some pretty impatient girls). Finally, we decided that we should go take pictures and play a bit. It was a great idea and we got some great shots.. until we decided to do group shots. One by one our little teams took their pictures until we got to the R&R team. They didn't know what to do so Rylee suggested Rosa do a handstand. Rosa was unsure but still agreed. As fast as she went up she came right back down.. Rylee didn't catch her! It was hilarious to watch, because they decided to try it a second time and again she cam tumbling down. Laughing and in hysterics we heard Rosa scream from the floor covered in dry leaves "I trusted you!!" I think that was when we all lost it laughing uncontrollably. After that we enjoyed the view a bit then came back home. It was a good day, but we learned a valuable lesson: NEVER let Rylee get the directions or lead; and NEVER do a handstand near Rylee. Other than that she's a great friend and someone you could honestly trust, until she suggest a team picture with you upside down (:

Sweater Weather

It’s winning here in Rexburg.

And by winning I mean it is that awkward, but wonderful time of the year between winter and spring.
You see in Rexburg the weather can be bright and warm with birds chirping and the sun shinning and smiling one minute and the next its hailing and thundering and the sky appears as if it is going to break into a million pieces.
To describe it in one word the weather is like a pregnant woman at a romantic comedy… unstable.

However, this allows me to wear my most favorite piece of clothing…. Sweaters!
I love knits “seriously ask your grandpa. Can I have his Hand-me-downs?”

I hope this spring weather lasts.
But, if the weather keeps being this bipolar it may start raining purple sprinkles.

Can I be Beyoncé?

She's fierce, she's fabulous, she's Beyoncé. Ugh, she is just so beautiful and has an amazing body. Seriously, my goal is to be her when I grow up, like who doesn't want to be a hot mom? Beyoncé is a hot mom.
If I were to be Beyoncé, I wouldn't have to do any homework because I would just tell my professors the following:
"I sold more than 400,000 albums in 24 hours, I don't need to do homework."
"Uhm excuse, do you know who I am? Homework is for peasants, I'm the Queen."
"I am Beyoncé."
Actually if I were to be her, "I am Beyoncé" would be my answer for everything.
Why didn't you do your chores?
"I am Beyoncé."
You didn't do the essay, why?
"I am Beyoncé."
Do you have a solution to end world hunger?
"I am Beyoncé."

Can I be Beyoncé? Please?

I'm so over this!

Pretty please sky can you stop?

So today is Saturday, you'd expect lots of fun and a day filled with adventure instead of homework right? WRONG. The weather gods decided it was time for more snow. So here I am on this couch, all bundled up with nothing to do but blog. I actually did my hair and make up today expecting a nice outing, too bad that's just out of the question now. What do college kids do when they're bored? Because i've checked every social media like 20 times repeatedly and watched about 3 movies and I'm not anywhere near being entertained. It had finally began to be warm and i got my hopes up thinking it would be spring soon, then my dreams were crushed :( Don't get me wrong i love snow and cold weather, but too much is not the business. Moral of the blog is: You never know what to expect in little Rexburg, but it will get better. In the meantime this picture explains how i feel:
